SNOWMASS WILDFIRE MITIGATION COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Snowmass Village faces deeply concerning wildfire risk, and reducing that risk requires action across both public and private property. The Town of Snowmass Village and the Wildfire Collaborative Roaring Fork Valley are working together to advance large-scale fuel reduction projects while also helping homeowners understand what they can do to protect their homes and supporting them in taking action.

The Snowmass Wildfire Mitigation Community Assistance Program is designed to remove some of the financial and practical barriers homeowners face. Through clear guidance and a $1,000 rebate, the program helps eligible residents complete critical improvements within the first five feet of their homes, where wind-blown embers can find the fuel they need to ignite.

By combining Town leadership, larger-scale mitigation, homeowner education, and action on private property, we can build a more fire-resilient Snowmass Village. We hope homeowners will join this community-wide effort by completing the checklist below.
