The Wildfire Collaborative Roaring Fork Valley began as a program of the Aspen Institute, created to bring partners together around a shared regional approach to wildfire resilience.
As the need for year-round coordination, community engagement, and cross-boundary mitigation grew, the Wildfire Collaborative grew into an independent 501c3 nonprofit in 2024, allowing us to expand our impact, mobilize new funding, and strengthen partnerships across the entire Roaring Fork watershed.
Today, that foundation continues to guide our mission: uniting communities, agencies, and landowners to reduce risk and build lasting resilience in a valley that depends on it. From large-scale forest projects to public education campaigns and valley-wide hazard and opportunity mapping, we rely on and are grateful for our partners.
WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER
